Joyce Kay Stocker

Joyce Kay Stocker


Joyce Kay Stocker, 78, of Huntington, died Thursday, September 23, 2021 at Heritage Center. She was born September 17, 1943 in Grand Ledge, Michigan, a daughter of the late Richard Marvin Tinney and Ruth Moon. She was a former nurse's aide. Joyce was a member of Lewis Memorial Baptist Church, enjoyed crafting including ceramics, loved light houses and enjoyed collecting roosters. Survivors include her husband of 58 years, with their relationship starting as pen pals when he was in the U.S. Navy, Daniel A. Stocker of Huntington; a daughter and son-in-law, Lyn and Scott Estep of Ripley, WV; two sons, Greg Stocker of Ona, and Ken Stocker of Huntington; six grandchildren, Cheryl Anne Stocker, Nicholas (Sarah) Stocker, Jesse Stocker, Katie Stocker, Kyri (Andy) Miller, and Ethan (Laurie) Hicks; twelve great grandchildren; and two brothers, David Tinney and Dorwin Tinney. Chapman's Mortuary is assisting the family and a Celebration of Life memorial gathering will be held 2:00-5:00 pm Saturday, October 9, 2021 at the Barboursville Park shelter number 2.
