Michael Kent Adkins
(April 14, 1953 - January 11, 2022)


Michael Kent Adkins


Michael Kent Adkins, 68, of Huntington, WV, husband of Emine Gonzalez-Adkins, died Tuesday, January 11, 2022, at the Emogene Dolin Jones Hospice House. Memorial funeral service will be conducted 3:00 PM Thursday, January 20, 2022, at River Cities Community Church with Pastor Larry Greene officiating. Mike was born April 14, 1953 in Huntington, WV a son of Eleanor Mary Pridemore Adkins of Ona, WV and the late Roscoe Adkins. He was a US Marine Corps Veteran and a retired Car Salesman. Additional survivors include: one daughter, Karie A Adkins and Keith Gregory of Huntington; one son, Lafe J (Michelle) Adkins of Columbus, OH; six grandchildren, Trinity Gregory of Huntington, William G, Lafe J, II, Trey, Jackson and Lyla Adkins, all of Columbus; two Aunts, Maxine McComas of Hamlin, WV and Jean Spurlock of Lorain, OH; and a sister-in-law, Elizabeth Gonzalez. Visitation will be from 2:00 until 3:00 PM Thursday at the church. Chapman's Mortuary Huntington is assisting the family.
