Ester Shirrell Ward
(March 8, 1943 - December 1, 2011)

Ester "Poochie" Shirrell Ward, 68 of Huntington passed away December 1, 2011 in St. Mary's Medical Center. Funeral Services will be 1pm Wednesday, December 7, 2011 at Ferrell-Chambers Funeral Home, Huntington, with Rev. ReLoy Gainey officiating. Ester was born March 8, 1943 in Huntington, WV a daughter to the late William Lawson and Elizabeth Olga Ward. Ester was a member of Young Chapel A.M.E Church in Huntington. Survivors include one daughter Sharron Hegmon, Huntington, three grandchildren Qwlonda Byrd, Robert Byrd, Terrance Byrd, seven great-grandchildren, one aunt Emmajean Garrett Conada, and several other family members and friends. Visitation will be one hour prior to service time at the funeral home. Ferrell-Chambers Funeral Home has been entrusted with arrangements.
