Frances Jolene Adkins
(June 8, 1935 - February 7, 2015)

Frances J. “Jo” Adkins, 79, of Huntington, passed away on Saturday, February 7, 2015 at Huntington Health and Rehabilitation Center after a long illness. Jo was a very loving person who retired from her position as a caregiver to the elderly and meter maid for the city of Huntington. The family would like to say “Thank You” to a very special friend, Joyce Hodges, who helped out so much. She is survived by her son, David Martin of Huntington, and two grandsons, Trevor and Wesley Martin of Huntington. She was preceded in death by her husband, Jim Adkins; her parents, John and Armelda Nelson of Huntington; three sisters, Lordale, Betty, Kathelene; one brother, M. J. Dickerson, also of Huntington, and her son, Kane Martin. A Memorial Service will be held at 1:00 P.M. on Friday, February 13, 2015 at the Jefferson Avenue Church of God, 2039 Jefferson Avenue, Huntington.
