(March 15, 1930 - May 23, 2021)
JoAnn Withers Perry
91, passed away peacefully at home after a long illness
on Sunday, May 23, 2021. JoAnn was born March 15th, 1930 to the late
Kenneth Lee Withers and Elizabeth Jane Pyles. She was preceded in death
by her husband: Walter, sisters: Jean and Barbara, and her grandson
Andrew.
She grew up in Huntington, WV, and attended Huntington
East High School, where she was a cheerleader and co-captain. JoAnn and
her husband, Walter Reid (Corky) Perry, were married for 69 years, and
together they raised four daughters. She was a member of First
Presbyterian Church, Huntington, WV, for many years.
She is survived by four daughters: Rebecca Miles
(Robert) of Lexington, VA; Jan Perry (Craig) of Columbus, OH; Jean Perry
of Rawlins, Wyoming and Jill Carpenter (Edwin) of Wilmington, DE. In
addition, she is survived by seven grandchildren and five
great-grandchildren.
A Memorial Service will be scheduled at a later
date. Ferrell-Chambers Funeral Home, Huntington, WV is assisting the
family with arrangements.
