Everett L. Mount, 92, of Culloden, entered into eternal rest on Sunday, April 3, 2016 in Heritage Center, Huntington. He was born August 24, 1923 in Huntington, WV, a son of the late Earl and Gillie Mount. He was also preceded in death by his first wife and the mother of his children, Mary Catherine Stapleton Mount; a son, Michael Mount; two brothers and three sisters. Everett served in the Army Air Corps during World War II as a Top Turret Gunner on a B-24 Bomber. He also worked for 40 years at Borden Dairy and upon his retirement, went into the dairy business for himself. He is survived by his wife, Elaine Bailey Toler Mount; two daughters, Vickie (Jim) Jordan of Huntington and Marilyn Dotson of Huntington; one stepson, Denver (Barbara) Toler of NC; one stepdaughter, Sandra (Pat) Grigg, also of NC; nine grandchildren, Jamie King, Talisha Franklin, Jarrod Jordan, Joshua Jordan, Sarah Townson, Megan Johnson, Kathy Adkins, Kim Zimmerman and Shawn Mount; four step grandchildren, Gail Calhoun, Gary Pritt, Tammy Spence and Angela Kinard; 18 great grandchildren; eight step great grandchildren; one great-great grandson; one brother, Paul (Shirley) Mount of IN; and two sisters, Anna Lee Mount and Jean Chafin, both of Culloden. Everett was a loving husband, father and grandfather who was known as a loving “Papaw” to many. He was an amazing man; a very hard worker who loved God, his country and his family. He valued honesty and relationships. He was never afraid to show emotion or love. Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, April 6, 2016 at Heck Funeral Home, Milton. Funeral service will be conducted at 10 a.m. Thursday, April 7, 2016 with Pastor Claude Spurlock officiating. Burial will follow in White Chapel Memorial Gardens, Barboursville.
