Obituary



Denver Dillon, 94, of Hurricane, passed away Friday, October 7, 2016 at Hubbard Hospice in South Charleston, WV. He was born May 16, 1922 in Mingo County, WV, a son of the late Jessie and Wealtha Dillon. He was also preceded in death by a brother, Lilborn Dillon and two sisters, Myrtle Davis and Belva Smith. Denver was a Staff Sargent in the US Army during WWII and a member of the VFW Post 1064. He is survived by seven sons, David E. Dillon and his wife, Virgena, Gordon R. Dillon, James R. Dillon, Dennis D. Dillon, Danny J. Dillon and his wife, Patti, Timothy A Dillon and his wife, Marsha and Scott Dillon; one daughter, Stella L. Nance and her husband, Dave; one brother, Jimmy Dillon and his wife, Violet; two sisters, Elsie Comer and Merble Comer; 11 grandchildren, Daniel, Matt, Melody, Crissy, Ammy, Tiffani, Crystal, Jessica, Cody, William and Morgan; and 16 great grandchildren, Jacob, Caleb, Bryce, Kristin, Kiera, Dylan, CJ, Cayla, Makenna, Miley, Emily, Logan, Clayton, Kayla, Carsen and Addilyn. Graveside services will be conducted at 10 a.m. Monday, October 10, 2016 at White Chapel Memorial Gardens Mausoleum with the Rev. Doug Peters officiating. Heck Funeral Home, Milton is in charge of arrangements. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the hospice organization of your choice.
