Obituary

RANDE ELLEN BLACKWOOD, 52, of Milton, passed away Thursday, January 29, 2004, in St. Mary's Medical Center. Funeral service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Monday, February 2, 2004, at Heck Funeral Home, Milton with Pastor Mark Finley officiating. Burial will follow in Enon Cemetery, Salt Rock. She was born October 29, 1951, in Oak Hill, W.Va., a daughter of Lano I. Johnson Blackwood and the late Joel N. Blackwood. She was also preceded in death by her sister, Jo Karen Blackwood and her maternal grandparents, Dewey and Thelma Johnson. She was a member of Bethel Methodist Church in Columbus, Ohio, where she played the organ for six years. She also worked as a Registered Nurse at Ohio State Hospital. She attended the University of Michigan, graduated from the Cincinnati Conservatory of Music and graduated Magna Cum Laude from The Ohio State University. She is survived by her mother, Lano I. Johnson Blackwood of Milton and a cousin, Sherryll Lynn Johnson of Arkansas. Visitation will be private. No flowers will be accepted as requested by the family.
