Obituary

L. DENVER STRATTON, 80, of Milton passed away Monday, January 26, 2004, at his home. Funeral service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Thursday, January 29, 2004, at Heck Funeral Home, Milton with the Rev. Millard Morrison officiating. Burial will follow in Enon Cemetery, Salt Rock. He was born June 4, 1923, in Cabell County, West Virginia, a son of the late Clarence and Mabel Moore Stratton. He was also preceded in death by two brothers, Virgil and Dorsey Stratton. He worked at Barboursville Clay Manufacturing Company for 32 years and retired from Blenko Glass after 9 1/2 years. He was a member of Pleasant Valley Free Will Baptist Church. He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Clodene Johnson Stratton; one son, Larry Stratton; two daughters and sons-in-law, Janet and Don Chapman and Donna and James Harper; three sisters, Marjorie, Anna Ruth and Lorene; three brothers, Melvin, Loren and Merle; four grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, January 28, at Heck Funeral Home.
