Obituary

RUBY JEWELL LEWIS, 79, of Culloden went home to be with the Lord Saturday, Oct. 30, 2004, in Mariner Health of Huntington. Funeral services will be conducted 1 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 2, 2004, at Heck Funeral Home, Milton, with Pastor Gerry White officiating. Burial will follow in Valley View Memorial Park. She was born July 9, 1925, in Hamlin, W.Va., a daughter of the late Lester and Bessie Roberts Young. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Carl Lewis, and one sister, Reba Sergeant. Ruby was a member of Lighthouse Baptist Church. She is survived by four daughters, Arminta Wallace, Diana Callihan, Debra Diehl and Donna Jimison; two sons, Ronnie Lewis and Jennings Lewis; four sisters, Jean Garrett, Crystal Lee "Tots" Adkins, Verna Moses and Janice Adkins; seven grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren. Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday, Nov. 1, 2004, at Heck Funeral Home, Milton.
