Obituary

REV. HERMAN H. McCALLISTER, 78, of Milton went home to be with his Lord and Savior Saturday, Oct. 30, 2004, in Thomas Memorial Hospital, Charleston. Funeral services will be conducted 11 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 2, 2004, at Heck Funeral Home, Milton, with the Rev. Millard Morrison officiating. Burial will follow in Forest Memorial Park, Milton. He was born Nov. 29, 1925, in Lincoln County, W.Va., a son of the late Lonnie and Luna McCallister. He was also preceded in death by two brothers, Cledith and Elvin McCallister; four grandchildren, Lisa Ann, Deanna Gail, Steven and Brian McCallister. He is survived by his wife, Ruth I. McCallister; five sons and their spouses, Herman Jr. and Mary Beckett, James and Tammy McCallister, David and Mary McCallister, Mike and Susan McCallister and Herman G. and Christina McCallister; 10 grandchildren, Robert, Curt and Mark Beckett, David, Jamie, Stacy, Heather and Zack McCallister, Charity Conner and Shelley Bowles; 11 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; two brothers; four sisters; and a host of nieces, nephews and friends.
