ObituaryFRANCES MARIE CHANEY, 82, of Milton went home to be with the Lord Tuesday, May 3, 2005, in Mariner Health of Huntington. Funeral service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Thursday, May 5, 2005, at Heck Funeral Home, Milton, with Pastor Paul Meadows officiating. Burial will follow in Culloden Cemetery. She was born April 9, 1923, in Lincoln County, a daughter of the late Charles and Laura Estep McComas. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Harry Chaney; two sons, Gary Lee Chaney and Charles W. Chaney; and a stepgrandson, David McCallister. She was a member of Beulah Ann Baptist Church, Ona, and loved her pastor, Paul Meadows with all her heart. She is survived by two stepdaughters, Freda (Don) Chapman and Sylvia (Joe) Neal of Milton; one stepson, Robert (Frances) Chaney of Medford, Ore.; two daughters-in-law, Carolyn Chaney of Wheelersburg, Ohio and Betty Chaney of Ona. She also leaves behind a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren and friends. Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
