ObituaryBROWNIE M. LEWIS, 91, of Ona, W.Va., passed away Sunday, October 2, 2005, in the VA Medical Center, Huntington. Funeral service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Wednesday, October 5, 2005, at Heck Funeral Home, Milton, with the Rev. Richard Black officiating. Burial will follow in Forest Memorial Park, Milton. He was born March 5, 1914, in Ona, a son of the late Rev. James and Sarah Katherine Wilson Lewis. He was also preceded in death by three brothers, Orville, Everett and Vernon Lewis and two sisters, Mary Tomlinson and Anna Belle McMellon. Brownie was a US Army veteran having served during World War II. He is survived by two sisters and brothers-in-law, Wanda and Ernest Harshbarger of Ona and Emmalene and Robert Urling of Florence, S.C.; special nephew, Nathan Harshbarger, and several nieces, nephews and friends. The family would like to send a special thanks to his caregiver, Roy Whitt. Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
