Obituary

EMZIE F. "Cuz" SOVINE, 80, of Culloden, went home to glory to be with his Lord Thursday, Oct. 13, 2005, in St. Mary's Medical Center. Funeral service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 15, 2005, at Heck Funeral Home, Milton. Burial will follow in Culloden Cemetery. He was born Nov. 26, 1924, in Milton, a son of the late Ellet and Burrie Wallace Sovine. He was also preceded in death by one brother and one sister. Emzie was a devout man of God who visited many area churches. He was retired from Conner Steel in Huntington. He is survived by his wife, Mildred Sovine; one daughter and son-in-law, Linda and Vernon Bird of Culloden; three sons and daughters-in-law, Rick and Rawnie Shay Sovine of Culloden, Gary and Teresa Sovine of Cleveland, Ga. and Bruce and Debbie Sovine of Clover, S.C.; one brother, Sherman Sovine of Milton; one sister, Genieva Sovine of Milton; nine grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home
