Obituary

Mable Faye Childers, 81, of Milton went home to be with her Lord, Wednesday, September 5, 2007 at the Hospice House of Huntington.  Funeral services will be conducted 11 a.m. Saturday, September 8, 2007 at Heck Funeral Home, Milton with Rev. Windell Shull officiating.  Burial will follow in Ridgelawn Memorial Gardens.  Faye was born July 9, 1926 in Cabell County, a daughter of the late Luther and Lora Shaffer Garrett.  She is also preceded in death by her husband, Roscoe Childers; two sons, Billy Joe Smith and Danny Smith; son-in-law, Laymon Templeton; two brothers, Clyde Garrett Jr. and Charles E. Garrett.  She is survived by three sons and two daughters-in-law, Murrel Smith (Brenda), Johnnie Smith (Judy) and Curtis Smith; one daughter, Beverly Templeton; one brother, John Garrett and his wife Shirley; one sister, Corba Lee Ashworth; several grandchildren, great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.  Friends may visit from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, September 7, 2007 at Heck Funeral Home, Milton.
