Obituary

Mary Shirkey, 70, of Huntington, passed away Friday, March 21, 2008 at her residence.  Graveside services will be conducted 2 p.m. Tuesday, March 25, 2008 at White Chapel Memorial Gardens Mausoleum, Barboursville.  She was born September 29, 1937, in Cabell County, a daughter of the late Lee and Edith Shirkey.  She retired from White Way Laundry.  She was a member of the Historical Railroad Society and also volunteered at St. Mary’s Medical Center Auxiliary.   She is survived by five sisters, Carolyn Myhrwold, Sharon Clagg, Nancy Meadows, Dottie Arbaugh and Flossie Adkins; six brothers, George Shirkey, Charles Shirkey, Frank Shirkey, John Shirkey, David Shirkey and Aaron Shirkey; and several nieces and nephews.  Friends may visit one hour prior to service on Tuesday at the cemetery.  Heck Funeral Home, Milton is assisting the family with arrangements.
