Reynolds, 88, of
Huntington, formerly of
Milton, passed away Monday, February 15, 2010
in
Cabell
Huntington
Hospital.
Funeral service will be conducted at NOON on Thursday, February 18,
2010 at Heck Funeral Home, Milton with Rev. Jim Dailey officiating.
Burial will follow in
Forest
Memorial Park with
military graveside rites by the American Legion, Post 139, Milton.
He was born November 10, 1921 in Louisa Co., VA a son of the late
John F. and Gennie Grimm Reynolds. He was also preceded
in death by his first wife, Elizabeth Porter; second wife, Phyllis Marie
Reynolds; sisters, Lucille Novish and Ola Skwarlo; brother, Buford Reynolds.
He was a retired physical therapist assistant with St. Mary’s
Hospital. He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II
where he served in the
Battle of the Bulge and served in
France,
Germany, and
England.
He was a member of the American Legion, Post 139, Milton.
Clyde was a ballroom dancer and square
dancer and he also enjoyed fishing. He is survived by
his daughter, Ellen Marie (Terry) Porter of Edgewater, FL; three sons, J.C.
Reynolds (Jo Reed) of Huntington, Craig Allen (Ann) Reynolds of Wilson, NC,
and David Carl (Linda) Reynolds of Huntington; two sisters, Dorothy Hicks of
Mineral, VA and Evelyn Cunningham of Culpepper, VA; brother, Everette
Reynolds of Mineral, VA; seven grandchildren, David “Nick” Reynolds, Steven
Reynolds, Joe Reynolds, Jason Reynolds, Cindy Reynolds, Jennifer Reynolds,
and Justin Reynolds; four great grandchildren, Jamie and Katelyn Reynolds,
Aerison and Maggie Parrish. Visitation will be from 6 to
8 PM, on Wednesday, February 17, 2010 at Heck Funeral Home, Milton.
