Obituary

Violet Virginia Woodard, 95, of Culloden, passed away Thursday, February 25, 2010 in Emogene Dolin Jones Hospice House, Huntington with her family by her side.  Funeral service will be conducted 2:00 PM, Saturday, February 27, 2010 at Heck Funeral Home, Milton with Rev. Don Reynolds officiating.  Burial will follow in Forest Memorial Park, Milton.  She was born April 6, 1914 in Cabell Co., WV a daughter of the late Ernest and Ella Venoy Beckett.  She was also preceded in death by her husband, Creath L. Woodard; grandson, Mark Cremeans; three brothers and five sisters.  She was a homemaker.  She enjoyed gardening and sewing.  She is survived by two daughters, Linda (Harley) Jackson of Culloden and Carolyn (Marshall) Cremeans of Milton; two grandchildren, Tammy Pearson and Chris Jackson; three great grandchildren, Kelcie and Ryan Jackson, Shane Pearson; special friend, Jean Lake.  Visitation will be from noon to 2 PM on Saturday, February 27, 2010 at Heck Funeral Home, Milton.
