Geneva Tomblin Aliff, 70, of Milton, passed away Sunday, May 29, 2001 in Bowling Green, KY. Funeral service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Friday, June 3, 2011 at Heck Funeral Home, Milton with Jay Duncan officiating. Burial will follow in Forest Memorial Park, Milton. She was born January 15, 1941 in McDowell County, WV, a daughter of the late Jess and Dora Harmon Tomblin. She was also preceded in death by her husband of 53 years, Carl Edward Aliff; one son, Wendell “Butch” Stephens; one sister, Loredith Tomblin and three brothers, Raymond Tomblin, Ronald Tomblin and Ray Tomblin. Mrs. Aliff was a retired nurse at Mildred Mitchell-Bateman Hospital, Huntington. She is survived by two sons, Jess Aliff and his wife, Mary of Milton and Edgar Schindler and his wife, Joyce of South Africa; five daughters, Sharian Kay Bowen of Salt Lake City, UT, Cecilia Ross and her husband, Mike of Huntington, Connie Cole and George Evans of Jackson, OH, Vickie Combs and her husband, Greg of Chesapeake, OH and Theresa Scheibelhood and her husband, Troy of Proctorville, OH; three brothers, Dana Tomblin of Salt Lake City, UT, Sam (Joyce) Tomblin of Huntington and Danny Ray Toth of Glasgow, KY; three sisters, Rilda (Bill) Cline of Smith Grove, KY, Junita (Jerry) Spence of Huntington and Janice (Allen) Moore of Bowling Green, KY; special brother-in-law, Richard (Claudine) Harrison of Huntington; daughter-in-law, Nancy Stephens of Piqua, OH; 18 grandchildren; 29 great grandchildren; one great-great grandchild and several nieces, nephews, cousins and special friends. Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, June 2 at the funeral home.
