Mary Alice Scott Adkins

MARYH ALICE "PEG" SCOTT ADKINS, 80 of Huntington, wife of Raymond "R.P." Adkins, passed away Saturday, January 24, 2009, at her residence. She was born June 12, 1928 in Cabell County, the daughter of the late Randall Clifford and Lucille Chandler Scott. She was a member of the Barboursville Baptist Church. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a grandson, Glen W. Edwards III. Along with her husband, she is survived by three daughters and sons-in-law, Darlene Kaye and David McComas, of Darlington, PA, Mary Michaelle and Jason Lainhard, of Williamstown, KY, and Mary Kristina and Wesley McClure, of Huntington; two sons and daughters-in-law, Richard Earl and Annie Lykins, of Louisville, KY, and Ronald Lee and Diane Lykins, of Lexington, KY; twelve grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; sister and brother-in-law, Christine and Dick Lee, of Ft. Myers, FL; a brother, Richard Scott, of Bluefield, WV; and special friend, Mrs. Jean Meadows, Funeral services will be at 2 p.m., Tuesday, January 27, 2009, at HENSON MORTUARY, BARBOURSVILLE, WV. Burial will follow in White Chapel Memorial Garden, Barboursville, WV. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m., Monday at the funeral home. The Rev. Paul Farley will be officiating. HENSON MORTUARY OF BARBOURSVILLE is handling the arrangements.
