Anna Mae Ward
(January 16, 1927 - March 11, 2009)

ANNA MAE WARD, 82, of Arlington, VA, formerly of Huntington, passed away Wednesday, March 11, 2009, in the Virginia Hospital Center, Arlington, Virginia. She was born Janurary 16, 1927 in Huntington, West Virginia the daughter of the late Ray and Mary Blake King. She was married to Charles Ward for nearly 60 years. She is survived by her daughter, Jane Johnson and husband Donney Johnson of Hurt, Virginia; her son Chris Ward and his wife, Denise Creech of Washington, DC; two grandson, Adam Johnson of Richmond, Virginia and Brandon Johnson and his wife, Crystal Johnson of Hurt, Virginia. A memorial service will be held at Arlington Forest United Medthodist Church, Arlington, VA on Friday, March 13,at 3:00PM and a graveside service will be held at White Chapel Memorial Gardens, Barboursville, West Virginia on Sunday, March 15 at 2:00PM. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be sent to the Asthma and Allergy Foundation of America (aafa.org) or to the Hurt Volunteer Fire Department (hurt31.com). She enjoyed reading, discussing current events, taking trips with family and friends and loved a good party. She will be missed. The Rev. Brady Lipscomb will be officiating at the graveside service. Visitation at cemetery chapel from 1;00 to 2:00P.M. Sunday, March 15, 2009.Henson Mortuary, BARBOURSVILLE, is handling handling arrangements.
