ROBERT H. GRIFFITH
ROBERT H. GRIFFITH, 79, of Huntington, WV, passed away Thursday, April, 1, 2010 in the Emogene Dolin Jones Hospice House. He was born September 1, 1930 in Boone County, WV a son of the late Joseph and Inez Curry Griffith of Rock Creek in Boone County. He is survived by his loving wife, Levana McClure Griffith whom he had been married to for 58 years. He is also survived by two daughters, Lisa (Scott) Jobe and Debra Griffith all of Huntington; one son, Robert O. Griffith of Barboursville; one granddaughter Paige Griffith; three grandsons, Ronnie Kirk, Dallas and Shane Hudnall; two sisters, Vera Griffith and Louise Hill of Charleston; three brothers, Wayne and Larry of Charleston and Eugene of Lancaster, South Carolina. Robert graduated from Scott High School. He retired after 37 years with Columbia Gas as a Gas Measurement Instrumentation A-Man Specialist. He was an Air Force Veteran. Robert had served as Sunday School Superintendant, teacher and trustee for Pea Ridge Baptist Church. He was a member of Barboursville Baptist Church where he was a former trustee. Funeral Services will be conducted at HENSON MORTUARY, BARBOURSVILLE on April 3, 2010 at 2:00 pm with friends calling from 12:00 pm to 2:00 pm prior to the service. Burial will follow in Ridgelawn Memorial Park, Huntington, WV, with Rev. Ron Burnsworth officiating. HENSON MORTUARY BARBOURSVILLE is assisting the family with arrangements.
