CAROL SUE SAMPLES
(November 17, 1938 - March 13, 2012)

Carol Sue (Nance) Samples, 73 of Lesage, WV, went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, March 13, 2012 in St. Mary’s Medical Center, Huntington.  She was born November 17, 1938 in Huntington, WV the daughter of the late Forest William and Helen Ruth (Taylor) Nance. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Ronald Gene "Ramp" Samples, a retired Union Carpenter; two sisters, Jenny Lynn Nance and Ruth Ann Nance Thomas; one grandson, Matthew Douglas Nance. She was a retired cafeteria worker at St. Mary’s Medical Center. She is survived by five sons, John Robert Nance of Huntington, WV, Richard Burge (Melissa), Dana “Bear” Lucas (Mary) all of Lesage, WV, George and Linda Dewees of Milton, WV, Mike Samples and family of LA; four daughters, Martha Ann Swain, Carol Burge,  Sara L. Dewees Taylor all of Lesage, WV, Becky (Eric) Hall of Glenwood, WV; grandchildren, Robert Lee Forrest Nance (Cheryl) of Lesage, WV, Mark Zachary Nance (Tory) of Charleston, WV, Kimberly Dawn Swain Johnson of Ashland, KY, Steven Lee Dewees (Tiffany) of Chesapeake, OH, Ricky and Justin Oldaker (Laura) and Jessica Burge of Lesage, WV, Richard Burge of Huntington, WV, Chris, Tim and David Dewees of Milton, WV, Megan Kinnard of Huntington, WV and Seth Lucas of Lesage, WV. Great-grandchildren, Anna Marie and J.J. Nance, Matthew Jacob Johnson, Makaela Kinnard and Landon and Brendan; Very special friends, B.B. Dawson, Bonnie and Frank, Punk and Gail all of Clay, WV, Misty Adkins, Courtney Holley both of Lesage, WV, Ernie Perry of Huntington, WV of Ernie’s Automotive and Leo Shannon of Lesage, WV. Nephew, Greg (Alane) Thomas of Huntington, WV; great nephew, Kevin Thomas of Huntington.  A Memorial service will be held at a later date.
