Obituary
Eva Campbell
Turner, 93, of Huntington, W.Va. went home to be with the Lord
on Thursday, October 22nd, 2015 at Huntington Health and
Rehabilitation Center. She was born May 27th, 1922 in Huntington,
WV the daughter of the late Edward and Opal Miller Campbell. In addition to
her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband James M. Turner
and two brothers, Earl Campbell and Carl Campbell. She was retired
from Sears Roebuck and Co. and was a member of Olive Missionary Baptist
Church. Eva loved life, her family, and her church. She never missed an
opportunity to tell anyone she met about Jesus. She was a kind, caring
person who was greatly loved and admired by her family. She also left a
special place in the hearts of many people she came in contact with over the
years. She is survived by her daughters, Sheila Dowdy and her husband
Jim of Huntington,WV, Pamela Barker and her husband Charles of Proctorville
OH, her son, Randy Turner and his wife Patricia of Roanoke Virginia, her
grandchildren Terri Hamlin and her husband Dwain, Shayne Barker, Melissa
Broyles and her husband Elliot, Ashleigh Turner, Charla Davis and her
husband Shane. She is also survived by five great-grandchildren Jamilyn
Hamlin, Nathan Hamlin, Daniel Davis, Brooke Davis, and Cortland Broyles.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 PM on Sunday, October 25, 2015 at
Henson & Kitchen Mortuary, Barboursville, W.Va. with Pastor Gordon
Rutherford officiating. Burial will follow in White Chapel Memorial Gardens,
Barboursville, W.Va. The family will receive friends from 6-8 PM on Saturday
at the funeral home.
