Ricky Allen Smith, 60, of State Road, NC passed away, Thursday, July 26, 2018 in the W.G. Bill Hefner VA Hospice and Palliative Care Center, Salisbury, NC. He was born March 8, 1958 in Huntington, WV the son of the late, Ivan Virgil Smith and Dorothy Jean Smith Workman. He was a U.S. Navy Veteran. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Judith A. Rowe. He is survived by his daughter Cristeta Jean Smith (Chad Anthony Guebert) of State Road, NC; one grandchild, Carmen Madison Guebert; three brothers, Rodney D. Smith of Huntington, WV, Virgil L. Smith ( Barbara) of Florida, and William "Billy" Smith (Bim) of Texas; one sister, Joyce J. Sills (Jim) of North Carolina; and one brother-in-law, John Rowe of Huntington, WV. Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 PM on Wednesday, August 1, 2018 at Henson and Kitchen Mortuary, East Pea Ridge Road, Huntington, WV. Burial will follow in Ridgelawn Memorial Park, Huntington, WV. Kevin Smith, John Mark Smith, Charlie Smith, Charlie Peters, Chad Guebert and Brian Hensley will serve as pallbearers. The family will receive friends from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM on Tuesday, July 31, 2018 at Henson and Kitchen Mortuary and two hours prior to services on Wednesday at the mortuary.
