Jerry Lee Denning, Sr. 82 of Huntington, WV passed away Friday, June 18, 2021 at Cabell Huntington Hospital. He was born May 20, 1939 in Huntington, WV; son of the late Richard Franklin and Sarah Neff Denning. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of fifty years, Judy Denning; brother, Harold Denning; and sisters, Geneva Sperry, Marian Bowen and Betty Whobrey. Jerry aka “The Boss” owned Jerry L Denning INC; a successful General Contracting business in Huntington. He set very high standards in his work, which to this day is hard to compete with. He is survived by two sons, Jerry L. Denning Jr. (Lora) and Ronnie D. Denning (Marlena); granddaughters, Sierra Denning, Maggie Denning, Abbie Denning, Kandyce Jones, Skylar Jones; grandsons, Patrick Estep and Andrew Estep; great grandson, Jaden Lewis; special friend Donna Baisden; and best friend and companion, Humphrey. Funeral services will be conducted at Henson & Kitchen Mortuary, 6357 E. Pea Ridge Road, Huntington, WV 25705 on Tuesday, June 22, 2021 at 2:00 PM with Pastor Eddie Gandy officiating. Entombment will follow at Woodmere Memorial Park, Huntington, WV. The family will receive friends one hour prior to services on Tuesday at the mortuary.
