Darrell Wayne Swiger, 67 passed away, Wednesday, November 10, 2021 at KDMC Ashland, KY. He was born January 18, 1954 in Morgantown, WV the son of the late, Harold Marshall and Violet Lucille Murphy Swiger. He was a retired Cable Splicing Technician with Verizon in Parkersburg, WV, a member of Celebration Center in Belpre, OH and a member of Celebration Church in Huntington, WV for the past five years. Darrell was an avid hunter who deeply appreciated the glory of God’s creation while outdoors and a passionate West Virginia Mountaineer fan. He faithfully served in many capacities of leadership at church throughout his life and was an incredible husband, father, grandfather and friend. Most importantly, Darrell’s love for Jesus Christ was sincere, rock-solid and a testimony to God’s saving grace. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his daughter, Hillary Dawn Swiger; many cherished in -laws and an angel grandchild. He is survived by his loving wife of forty-six years, Terry Jane Price Swiger of Catlettsburg, KY; two daughters, Stacy Michelle Wayne (Daniel) of Lesage, WV and Amanda Gail Golden (Phillip) of Catlettsburg, KY; sister, Patty Carpenter (Delmas); brothers, Harold Swiger (Karen), Michael Swiger (Pamela) and Willard Swiger (Wilma); grandchildren, Elijah Gregory Wayne, Solomon Andrew Wayne, Hattie Jane Golden and Jack Austin Golden. Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 PM on Saturday, November 13, 2021 at Henson and Kitchen Mortuary 6357 E. Pea Ridge Rd. Huntington, WV near Barboursville. Burial will follow at Ridgelawn Memorial Park, Huntington, WV. The family will receive friends from 11:00 AM until 1:00 PM service time at the mortuary.
