Matthew Lee France, 47 of Barboursville, WV, made his journey into the arms of Jesus on Saturday, September 11, 2021 in Cabell Huntington Hospital. He was born June 20, 1974 the son of Audley Clyde France of Huntington, WV and the late, Donna Jean Eplion Houck. Matt had an amazing heart, was a caregiver, a 1992 graduate of Milton High School an avid outdoorsman and Case knife collector. He was a member of Christ Temple Church where he was also a member of the Men's Fraternity. In addition to his mother, Matt was preceded in death by his step-father, John Paul Houck. He is survived by his loving wife, Tammy Mays France of Barboursville, WV; one son, Caleb France of Barboursville and one daughter, Anna France of Barboursville; brothers, Greg (Rhonda) France of Huntington, WV and Tim (Marlene) France of Hobart, OK; step-sister, Johnetta (Randy) Brandon of Humble, TX and step-brother, Jamey (Crystal) Houck of Ona, WV; father and mother-in-law, Dwight and Linda Mays of Barboursville, WV; brother-in-law, Chris (Connie) Mays of Barboursville, WV; and sister-in-law, Rebecca (Phillip) Skeens of Austintown, OH. Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 PM on Saturday, September 18, 2021 at Henson and Kitchen Mortuary, 6357 E. Pea Ridge Rd. Huntington, WV near Barboursville with Pastor Chuck Lawrence and Pastor Dwight Mays officiating. The family will receive friends on Friday, September 17, 2021 from 6:00-8:00 PM at Henson and Kitchen Mortuary.
