Richard Dick Spreacker
(September 9, 1924 - March 11, 2012)

Richard "Dick" Spreacker, 87, of Huntington, passed away Sunday, March 11, 2012 at Heartland of Riverview in South Point, OH. A funeral service will be held 11 AM Thursday, March 15 at Klingel-Carpenter Mortuary by Pastor Glen Robinson. Interment will follow at White Chapel Memorial Gardens. Dick was a WWII veteran and a retiree of the McLean Trucking Company. He is preceded in death by his wife Jean Spreacker; parents Arlen and Georgia Fortner Spreacker; a brother Charles Spreacker; a sister Charlotte Purdue; a daughter Donna Chapman. Dick is survived by a very special friend Oney Lutz of South Point; a brother Burle Spreacker (Lynette Spreacker) of Proctorville; a sister Joyce Whitmore of Wayne Co.; a son Richard L Spreacker of Huntington; two daughters, Hope Russell of Milton and Gloria Tomblin (Roger) of Chesapeake Oh; seven grand children, Larry Gool of Milton, Bill Adkins (Vickie) of South Point, Jimmy Adkins of Chesapeake, Ronnie Adkins (Sandy) of South Point, Shaune Chapman of Huntington, Christa Smith (Rusty) of Proctorville, and Joe Russell of Milton; 12 Great grandchildren and 2 Great Great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. The family would like to thank the staff of Hearland of Riverview for the outstanding care they gave Richard through the years he was there. A visitation will be held from 6 P.M. to 8 P.M at Klingel-Carpenter Mortuary.
