James Risch

James
J. Risch, 82, of Huntington,
died Thursday, November 8, at Woodlands Retirement Community. He was born
December 31, 1929 in Vincennes, Indiana, the son of the late, Sebastian L.
and Osetha Jansen Risch. He was a 1947
graduate of Lincoln High School in Vincennes and a 1951 graduate of Butler
University, Indianapolis, with a Bachelor's Degree in Pharmacy. He was a
veteran of the U.S. Air Force serving from 1951 to 1955. He was a sales
representative for Eli Lilly and Company, retiring in 1988. He was a member
of the Knights of Columbus 4th Degree, The Elks Club, The American Legion,
Esquire Country Club and Our Lady of Fatima Parish.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Mary
Risch Halter in 2005. He is survived by his
wife of 57 years, Mary Ann Risch, daughter
Ellen (Darryl) Vance of Charleston and son, Joseph (Christy)
Risch of Huntington, four grandchildren,
William Austin Vance, Patrick Justin Vance, Sebastian
James Risch
and Torin Walter Risch.
A visitation will be held from 5:30 to 8 p.m., Monday, November 12 at
Klingel-Carpenter Mortuary. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held 11 a.m.
Tuesday, November 13 at Our Lady of Fatima Church, Father Jim Sobus
officiating. Burial will follow at Spring Hill Cemetery. In lieu of flowers,
donations can be made to Hospice of Huntington, or Our Lady of Fatima
Parish.
