Ruth Nash

26, 1917 - March 9, 2014)
Ruth
Nash, 97 of Huntington, died
Sunday, March 9, 2014 in the Woodlands Retirement Community. A funeral
service will be held 1 p.m. Thursday, March 13, 2014 at the Fifth Avenue
Baptist Church's Chapel by the Dr. Allen Reasons. The family will receive
friends an hour prior to the service. Interment will follow in Spring Hill
Cemetery. Ruth was born February 26, 1917
in Huntington, a daughter of the late Harry F. and Pearl Moate. In addition
to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, James H.
Nash ; a daughter, Kaye
Nash and two brothers, Harry F. II and
Edward Moate. She was formerly a school teacher at Enslow Jr. High School. A
long time member of the Fifth Ave. Baptist Church and an avid Marshall
University fan and supporter. She loved the game of Bridge and enjoyed
travelling with her Bridge group. Ruth is
survived by her son, James C. "Nikita" Nash
and his wife Trish of Huntington; one grandson, Jeff
Nash and wife Christi of Lexington, KY; two
great-grandchildren, Carson and Jake Nash.
Also surviving is a sister-in-law, Bernice Moate of Charlotte, NC and
several nieces and nephews. Memorial contributions should be made to the
Marshall Big Green Scholarship Fund. Klingel-Carpenter Mortuary is in charge
of arrangements.
