Nancy Suzanne Aluise
(January 28, 1930 - September 28, 2014)



Nancy Linsenmeyer Aluise, 84, of Huntington, died at Woodland’s Retirement Community on Sunday, September 28, 2014. She was born January 28, 1930 in Baltimore, Maryland, a daughter of the late George J. and Annabelle Casey Linsenmeyer. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her step-mother, Nellie Russo Linsenmeyer, her husband, Albert J. Aluise and by a granddaughter, Amanda Sue Aluise. She is also preceded in death by her brothers, James Linsenmeyer, Michael J. Russo and Jimmy Joe Russo and sisters, Dorothy Nenni and Jenny Lou Linsenmeyer. Nancy was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and a very devout Catholic. She attended St. Joseph’s Catholic Grade School and St. Joseph’s Catholic High School. She also attended St. Mary’s of the Spring and Marshall University. Mrs. Aluise was a teacher at St. Joseph’s Catholic Grade School from 1958 to 1966. She was inducted into the St. Joseph’s Hall of Fame in 1990. She was an avid bridge player and was also part owner of Con-Jel Sales. Survivors include her four children, John Aluise (Middy), Debby Ours (Raymond), Tony Aluise (Kelli) and Patty Cole; nine grandchildren, Jennifer Adkins Buelow (Jim), Matthew Adkins (Sami), Mendy Aluise (Jeff), John Michael Aluise, Christopher Aluise (Sarah), Kyle Dople (Tara), Kathleen Aluise, Katelyn Aluise and Dennis Cole Jr.; seven great-grandchildren, Jake, Jonah, Adam, Gavin, Mia, Sarah and Kylee; three sisters, Rosalie George, Frannie Maier and Georgann Kirtley. The family would like to offer a special “Thank You” to the wonderful employees of the Woodlands who gave their mother love and support. Funeral Liturgy will be held 11 a.m. Thursday, October 2, 2014 at St. Joseph Catholic Church by Father Dean Borgmeyer. Interment will follow in Spring Hill Cemetery. Friends may call Wednesday from 6 to 8 p.m. with a Rosary at 8 p.m. at Klingel-Carpenter Mortuary. Expressions of sympathy may be made to Hospice of Huntington.
