Mary Catherine Twohig
(January 19, 1917 - September 13, 2015)

Mary Catherine “Kitty” Twohig of Huntington, passed away at home on Sunday, September 13, 2015 at the age of 98. She was born in Weston, WV, the daughter of the late George W. and Margaret Wilson. She graduated from Seton Hill and worked as a social worker. Kitty moved to Huntington and married Bob Twohig in 1942. They had three children. She was preceded in death by her brother George C. Wilson, sister Virginia Voelker and great-granddaughter Gabriella. She is survived by her children Ray Twohig (Lisa Godin), Wilson Twohig (Terri) and Mary Carey. Also surviving are her grand children: Willie Twohig, Jim Twohig, Al Carey, Jack Twohig, Frannie Twohig, Maggie Javins, Katie McNeal, Mary Fowler and Libby Swiger as well as twelve great grandchildren. Visitation will be 5 to 7 p.m. Friday at Klingel-Carpenter Mortuary followed by a rosary. Funeral Mass will be held 11 a.m. Saturday, September 19, 2015 by Father Dean Borgmeyer at St. Joseph Catholic Church followed by burial in Spring Hill Cemetery.
