Dorothy Lovins
(January 25, 1919 - June 18, 2016)

Dorothy Plymale Lovins, 97, of Huntington, WV, died Saturday, June 18, 2016 at the Woodlands Healthcare. She was born January 25, 1919 in Wayne County, West Virginia to the late Robert and Shirley Tucker Plymale. Mrs. Lovins was a graduate of Marshall University and a former fourth grade teacher at Gallaher School. Dorothy is also preceded in death by her husband, Bart W. Lovins, four sisters; Roberta Plymale Schwarz, Joyce Plymale Ward, Bernice “Beanie” Plymale Sanborn, and Violet Plymale Gallagher. She is survived by her daughter Sally Vick and her husband Curtis of Danville, Virginia and her son Thomas A. Lovins and his wife Julia of State College, PA and granddaughters Katie Lovins Haggarty and Laura Lovins. Funeral service will be held Wednesday, June 22, 2016 at 1:00 pm at Klingel-Carpenter Mortuary by Janice Stoner of 5th Ave. Baptist. Visitation will be from Noon until service time. Interment will follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers the family suggests donations be made to Fifth Avenue Baptist Church in Huntington.
