Obituary
Rev. Jack
Ervin Adkins, 85, of Huntington,
WV passed away peacefully on Thursday, September 18, 2014 at the Huntington
Health and Rehabilitation Center, Huntington, WV. He was born on November
28, 1928 in Huntington, WV, a son of the late Glen and Goldie Adkins. He was
also proceded in death by his beloved wife, Elsie Mae Ward, three brothers,
Jennings, Curtis, and Howard and three sisters, Virginia, Thelma, and Ruth.
He is survived by son, Jack A. (Dottie) Adkins, Huntington, WV and daughter,
Judy Adkins, Colorado, five grandchildren , two step grandchildren and eight
great grandchildren and eight great step grandchildren. Jack retired from
Huntington Steel in 1991 where he was employed as a painter. Jack an
ordained minister, was an active, longtime member of Living Waters
Ministries in Huntington, WV and enjoyed attending other local churches,
especially the Jackson Ave Church of God Holiness. Funeral services will be
conducted on Monday, September 22nd, 2014 at 1:00 PM at the Reger Funeral
Chapel by Rev. Truman Maynard. Friends and relatives may pay their respects
at the viewing on Sunday September 21, 2014 from 4:00 - 6:00 PM. He will be
laid to rest alongside his wife at the White Chapel Memorial Gardens.
