    Tom E. Reed, 
    age 63, passed away on September 3, 2014, at the Hospice House of 
    Huntington, after a long struggle with an illness. His best friend, Bonnie 
    S. Pauley, predeceased Mr. Reed. He is also survived by his former spouse, 
    Lisa Lycans; four children: Jason Reed of San Francisco, Shelly Mitchell of 
    South Point, OH, Damon and Nathan Reed of Huntington, WV and lifelong 
    friend/brother, Jim “Boots” Reed, also of Huntington. Mr. Reed is a veteran 
    of the U.S. Air Force and the Vietnam War where he earned several medals. He 
    also served in Europe, including Germany and Spain. He was a graduate of 
    Marshall University, earning both a B.A. and a M.A. in Mental Health 
    Counseling. He was a former Regional President of Coca-Cola and also served 
    20 years as a Vocational Rehabilitation Counselor with the U.S. Department 
    of Veterans Affairs Regional Office in Huntington. His life success can 
    directly be attributed to his around-the-clock positive attitude, 
    compassionate, sympathetic and empathetic personality, work ethic, loyalty 
    and passion for those who have and do serve our country. Funeral services 
    will be conducted at 7:00 p.m. Monday, September 8, 2014 at the Reger 
    Funeral Chapel by Pastor Steve Williams. Military Rites and committal 
    service will be 11:00 a.m. Tuesday at the Kentucky Veterans Cemetery North 
    East, Greenup, County Kentucky. Military Rites will be conducted by American 
    Legion Post 93 of Kenova and the Wright Patterson Air Force Honor Guard. The 
    family will receive visitors at Reger Funeral Home Monday from 5:00 p.m. 
    until service time at 7:00 p.m.
