Obituary

David Michael Coleman, 22, of Lavalette, WV, died Sunday December 11, 2016. David was an honor graduate from Wayne High School in 2012. He earned his nursing degree from St. Mary’s School of Nursing in 2015 and he was employed as a registered nurse at St. Mary’s Medical Center. David played midget league football for the Buffalo Bisons as a youngster playing for Hoss Wellman and Danny Crum, winning the D-Team Turf Bowl Championship, alongside Elijah Wellman and repeated as champions at the A Team level. David began an amateur boxing career at age fourteen winning the Ohio State Fair Nationals at age fifteen and sixteen at 138 pounds. A young veteran with over fifty bouts, David fought in National Junior Golden Gloves as well as National Golden Gloves in Mesquite, Nevada placing 5th and 6th nationally. He loved music, and was the lead vocalist in a local metal band, Carnage. David is survived by his parents Robert and Fina Coleman of Lavalette, WV; a brother Christopher and Heather and niece Bri; a sister Hannah Renee Coleman and a host of aunts, uncles and cousins. David was hard working, dedicated and always gave his best at anything he did. From nursing school to his job as a nurse, you could always count on David to give his all. Never a dull minute when David was around, you could count on him to make you laugh until you cried. He made the nightshift at work a little more interesting. Funeral services will be conducted at 2 pm Saturday at the Reger Funeral Chapel by Forrest Marshall. Friends may call from 6 to 8 pm Friday at the Reger Funeral Home.
