Betty Francis Fisher, 91, of Huntington, W.Va., widow Robert Vernon Fisher, passed away on December 25, 2016, at the Park Plaza Nursing Home, Whitney, Texas. Graveside services will be conducted at 1 p.m. Friday, December 30, 2016,at Woodmere Memorial Park. Betty was born on February 26, 1925, in Huntington, the daughter of the late John James and Martha Elizabeth Samson Huff. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son Terry Lee Fisher. Betty was a homemaker, a graduate of Vinson High School and a member of Central United Methodist Church, where she was a long-standing member of the choir. She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Robert and Janet Fisher of Huntington, W.Va.; a daughter Toni Wilson of Whitney, Texas; three grandchildren and spouse, Christina and Daniel Marcas, Tiffany and Ryan Stutler and Jill Mathews; six great-grandchildren, Nicholas and Noah Weigant, Gavin, Tanner, Emaleigh and Laney Stutler; a niece Connie Albright whom she thought of as a daughter; and nieces and nephews Sandy and Mike Wilson and Linda Black. In lieu of flowers the family request donations be made to a no-kill animal shelter. There will be no visitation.
