Mary Helen (Honey) Evans, of Huntington, passed away peacefully on June 16, 2016, at the age of 82. Born Mary Helen Caldwell on January 13, 1934, Honey was nicknamed by her sister, Mamie Cole, and married Jack Evans on July 27, 1952. Together they raised three grateful children, Linda Saville, Joe Evans, and Andy Evans. Honey was active at the Westmoreland United Methodist Church, where she was a member of the United Methodist Women and the Webster Woods Sunday School class, and where she worked for years in the annual fall Bazaar. She enjoyed cooking, crafts, Marshall sports, and family get-togethers, and was a volunteer at Hospice of Huntington. She is survived by her husband; her children; their spouses, Ralph Saville, Teresa Evans, and Leigh Hubbard; her grandchildren, Brad Saville, Kristin Saville Williams, Clark Evans, and Ross Evans; her great grandchildren, Hayden and Kellan Williams; and her sister. The family extends special thanks to Honey’s church family and longtime neighbors Ed and Gleema Hay. Visitation is at Reger Funeral Home on Saturday, June 18, from 5:00 to 7:00 PM, and the funeral service, at the Reger Funeral Chapel with Rev. Tom Nolan officiating, is on Sunday, June 19, at 2:00 PM. Burial will follow. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to Westmoreland United Methodist Church.
