Barbara Jean Blevins, 83, of Huntington, went to be with her Lord on Sunday, January 29, 2017 at Cabell Huntington Hospital. Funeral services will be conducted by Pastor Gordon Rutherford at 1 pm Friday, February 3, 2017 at the Reger Funeral Chapel. Burial will follow at White Chapel Memorial Gardens, Barboursville, WV. Barbara was born on May 27, 1933 in Cabell County to the late Lester Lovett “Buck” and Myrtle Marie “Sis” Cupp Rutherford. Barbara was a ward clerk for Cabell Huntington Hospital, she enjoyed gardening and spending time with her family. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by two brothers; Milford “Peck” Rutherford and Scottie Rutherford. She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law; Tanya and David Stewart, four daughters; Cindy Gibbs, Vickie Moore, Deborah Harrison, Theresa Day, a son; Wayne Day, one grandson; Chase Stewart, two sister-in-law’s; Vicki Rutherford and Lula Mae “Perk” Rutherford, several nieces and nephews, mom’s girls; Honey and Sugar, her special little man; Jarren Rutherford, and special friends; Jean and Walter Mitchell and Robin Ernest, and her entire hospital family. Friends may call from 6 – 8 pm on Thursday at the Reger Funeral Home.
