Phyllis Gayle Sparks, 78, of Huntington, widow of Robert A. Sparks, passed away Saturday January 14, 2017 at her residence. She was born December 31, 1938 in Huntington, WV, a daughter of the late Glenn and Nora Belle Thomas Crump. Phyllis was a retired employee with Owens-Illinois having worked in the shipping department. In addition to her husband and parents she was also preceded in death by a brother Emmett Crump and sister Glennita Davis. Survivors include a son Nathan Sparks; daughters Deborah Smith, Tami Blankenship and Brenda Ramey; nine grandchildren; eight great grandchildren and a brother Tommy Crump. A memorial service will be held at a later date. Reger Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.
