Obituary



Carolyn S. McComas, 68 of Huntington, WV found her wings surrounded by loved ones on March 8, 2018 at the Emogine Dolin Jones Hospice House of Huntington. Visitation will be Monday March 12, 2018 at Reger Funeral Home from 6-8 PM . Funeral services will follow on Tuesday March 13, 2018 at 1 PM with Pastor Jacque Parlota presiding and interment will follow at Woodmere Memorial Park. Carolyn was born November 16, 1949 to Lydia McKinney and was preceded in death by her brother, Charles McKinney and Shaun Carver, who she loved like a grandson. Carolyn is survived by her husband of 28 years, Charles L. McComas of Huntington; her brother Maynard McKinney of Orange, New Jersey; her sister Patty Chabala of St. Petersburg, FL; her son Patrick and his spouse Dawna Adkins of Huntington, WV; son David McComas and Annette Clay Perry of St. Petersburg, FL; daughter Bunny McComas and Ed Bigger from Chesapeake, OH; and Jay Campbell who she always called her adopted son. Carolyn is also survived by grandchildren Bobby, Cory and Kirsten; and great grandchildren Alyssa, Emily, Robert, Braedyn, Cayden, Arianna. Also, Dr. Ryan Clagg which will always be known as Sissy Carolyn’s Lil buddy. Carolyn was a homemaker and member of the West Senior Center and enjoyed being with her friends at Marie Redd’s for bingo and gift exchange on Wednesday’s. Carolyn was an avid poker player and loved nothing more than scrapping in a big pot from all of her “little buddies”. Special thanks to her cousin Kathy along with all other family members for sitting with her hours on end through this trying time, her cousin Shirley for Her daily encouragement talks,her close friends Linda, Laura and Lisa all her physicians Ronald Brownfield, George Linsenmeyer, Eugenia Jarrell, Charles Yarbrough, James Morgan and a special thanks to the staff of Emogene Dolin Jones Hospice House and the Oncology Department at St Mary’s Medical Center.
