Donald Ray Lunsford
(June 6, 1924 - June 8, 2017)

Donald Ray Lunsford, 93, of Milton, passed away Thursday, June 8, 2017. Graveside services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Saturday, June 10, 2017 at Forest Memorial Park Mausoleum with John Eckhart officiating. Entombment to follow after military honors. He was born June 6, 1924 in Cabell County, W.Va., a son of the late Eligah and May Lunsford. He is also preceded in death by his brother, Orville Lunsford; two sisters, Glenith Kirby and Nerene Freeman. He was retired from Union Carbide and served in the United States Army during WWII. He is survived by his wife Dorthy Black Lunsford; two daughters, Linda Rutherford (John) and Brenda Chapman (Junior Lee); grandchildren, Larry Craig Shelton, Stephen Todd Shelton, Robin Annette Eckhart, Dwayne Scott Chapman and LeAnn Lambert; and great-grandchildren, Kayelin Annette Ryder, Brandon Ray Eckhart, Cody Lambert and Madison Chapman. In lieu of flowers the family request donations be sent to Hospice of Huntington. Wallace Funeral Home, Milton is assisting the family with arrangements.
