ObituaryAnna Lee Adkins
Anna Lee Johnson Adkins, 84, of West Hamlin, W.Va., widow of Clyde O. Adkins, went to be with the Lord on Saturday, February 19, 2011 at the Emogene Dolin Jones Hospice House. Funeral services will be conducted 2:00 pm. Tuesday, February 22, 2011 at the Wallace Funeral Home & Chapel, Barboursville by Rev. David Cardwell. Burial will follow in Baylous Cemetery. She was born May 24, 1926, a daughter of the late James and Laura Johnson. She is also preceded in death by one granddaughter, Chrissy Gibson, two brothers, Wilford and Elmer Johnson and three sisters, Marie Johnson, Thelma Burns and Ethelene Johnson. Survivors include one daughter and son-in-law, April and Andy Jackson of Milton; two sons and daughters-in-law, Duane and Joyce Adkins of Salt Rock and Bill and Janet Gibson of Huntington; seven grandchildren, Misty Costanzo, Mandy Austin, Jessica Hicks, Tarah Petersen, Bridget Adkins and Andrea and Allison Jackson; eleven great-grandchildren, Colton and Hannah Austin, Taylor, Trey, Ian, and Erin Hicks, Cade and Brody Costanzo. Alex Petersen, Zayne and Aiden Bailey; one sister, Jean Bragg and one brother, Bobby Johnson and a host of friends and relatives. Pallbearers will include Andy Jackson, Shawn Hicks, Joey Austin, Charlie Petersen, Joshua Jackson and Jamie Bailey. Friends may visit from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday, February 21, 2011 at Wallace Funeral Home, Barboursville. The family would like to thank the staff of the Hospice House for their care and kindness.
