Lillie Mae Adkins
(March 14, 1932 - February 24, 2011)



Lillie Mae Adkins, 78, of Salt Rock, WV, went home to the Lord on Thursday, February 24, 2011 in Cabell Huntington Hospital. Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 pm Sunday, February 27, 2011 at the Wallace Funeral Home & Chapel by the Rev. Ray Adkins. Burial will be in Hatfield Cemetery. She was born March 14, 1932 in Cabell County, WV, a daughter of the late Vance and Virgie Lawson Estep. She was preceded in death by her brothers, George, Bill and Arbie Estep, and sisters, Ida Adkins, Cedy Adkins, Alice Watts and Betty McComas. She was retired from the State Hospital and was a member of Bethlehem United Baptist Church. She spent her life being the best wife, mother, and grandmother. She loved her husband, children and grandchildren dearly. She leaves behind her husband of fifty-five years, Andrew Adkins, who adored her and the ground she walked on; her children who took special care of her, Denita Adkins of Huntington; her son, Sonny Adkins and his wife Doris of Barboursville, and daughter, Patricia Hall and her husband Michael of Barboursville; her grandchildren and great grandchildren whom she loved so dearly, Chaunessa Reynolds, Timothy Reynolds and his wife Tiffany, and Andrew Hall; her great grandchildren whom she considered her babies, Tyler Hysell, Megan Abel and Emma Reynolds; a special niece whom she thought of as a daughter, Daisy Keesee; and one sister, Mary Jane Belton. Visitation will be from 6-8 pm Saturday at the Wallace Funeral Home, Barboursville. Pallbearers will be Timothy Reynolds, Andrew Hall, Tyler Hysell, Michael Hall and David Abel.  She will never be forgotten and always in our hearts. She is loved so much by family and friends. She will be missed each and everyday. As we know, she will be watching over us as she did in life.
