Dr. Stickler, a bass-baritone, was a professor of music at Marshall University where he taught voice and music education for 28 years. The Herald-Dispatch offered him the opportunity to write background articles of each of the performances. He also hosted pre-concert events for the Marshall University Artist series for opera and musical events.
