Obituary

ROGER DALE "WHITT" LESTER
(May 16, 1944 - July 19, 2016)

ROGER DALE "WHITT" LESTER, 72, of Huntington, W.Va., passed away July 19, 2016. He was born May 16, 1944, in Wayne County, West Virginia, a son of the late Wetzel Lester and Lucinda Mills Lester. He was a retired employee of Steel of West Virginia. He was also preceded in death by one sister, Stella Holley and two brothers, Hiram and Charlie Lester. He is survived by his wife Jewel Settle Lester; two daughters, Earlene Adkins and Kelli Childers, both of Huntington; two sons, Todd Lester and Tyler Lester, both of Barboursville; two sisters, Tennessee Farley of Barboursville and Norma Godby of Amherst, Ohio; four brothers, Lonnie Lester of Culloden, W.Va., Wetzel Lester of Huntington, Thurman Lester of Columbus, Ohio, and Ottie Lester of Huntington; seven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be conducted at 1 p.m. Saturday, July 23, 2016, at Wallace Funeral Home & Chapel, Barboursville, by Pastor George Leese. Burial will be in White Chapel Memorial Gardens, Barboursville.
