Obituary

VERNON BLACK
(June 9, 1943 - June 16, 2016)

VERNON BLACK, 73, of Huntington, passed away Thursday, June 16, 2016. He was born June 9, 1943, in Huntington, a son of the late Lillian Black Haynes. He was retired from Kerr Glass. He was preceded in death by one brother, Darrell Eugene Black. He is survived by his wife, Wonetta Coy Black; one daughter, Angela Black Simmons; one son, Vernon Black Jr.; one brother, Emerson (Sharon) Haynes; one granddaughter, Jasmine Black; a sister-in-law, Vicki Coy; and a close friend, Rodney Conn. Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Tuesday, June 21, 2016, at the Wallace Funeral Home & Chapel by Rev. Ron Burnsworth. Burial will be in White Chapel Memorial Gardens.
