Obituary

Danny Michael Childers
(March 9, 1950 - August 19, 2017)

Danny Michael Childers, 67, of Barboursville, went home to be with the Lord Saturday, August 19, 2017. Memorial services will be conducted at 4:00 pm Saturday, August 26, 2017 at the Wallace Funeral Home & Chapel, Barboursville, by Pastor Kevin Lantz. Danny was born March 8, 1950 in Huntington, a son of the late Denzil and Deloris Beckett Childers. He was a retired employee of Allstate Insurance. He was preceded in death by one brother, Terry Childers. He is survived by his loving wife, Sherrie Ann Laparl Childers; two daughters, Tara Hammer (Tyson) and Lori Godfrey (Dana); two sons, Todd Childers (Stephanie) and Chris Snyder; two sisters, Becky Kyle (Dale) and Cheryl Sullivan (Carl); two brothers, Randy Childers and Tim Childers; six grandchildren, Brandon Childers (Kayla), Chase Childers (Tarra), Brevin Hammer, Summer Childers, Abigail Godfrey, and Bella Godfrey; and one great-grandchild, Aubrey Childers and a host of special friends. Visitation will be from 2-4 pm at the Wallace Funeral Home, Barboursville.
