Obituary

Charles Eugene "Bud" Hensley
(December 2, 1938 - August 6, 2017)

Charles Eugene “Bud” Hensley, 78, of Barboursville, passed away August 6, 2017 at the Emogene Dolin Jones Hospice House. He was born December 2, 1938, in Barboursville, WV, a son of the late Romie Albert Hensley and Norma Mildred Halley Hensley. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Carolyn Hensley; two brothers, Rickey and David Hensley. He was a retired employee of Steel of WV, and a member of Elmwood Baptist Church. He is survived by one daughter, Kimberly Tickett of Barboursville; one son, Gary Alan Saunders of Barboursville; four sisters and brothers-in-law, Gayle Sites, Sharon and Gary Nelson, Edith Hargis and Deborah and Steve Cornett; sister-in-law, Kathryn Hensley; granddaughter, Rebecca Tickett; two special nieces, Geneva Flora and Gina Lycans; and fiancé Joyce Yirberg. A celebration of life will be at 12 noon Saturday, August 19, 2017, at Elmwood Baptist Church.
